How does iGrassroots work?

iGrassroots uses a customized Content Management System (CMS) that allows us to create dynamic, reliable, secure websites that can be completely tweaked to your needs.

Our basic website templates come pre-made ready for content - all you have to do is provide the number of pages you want and the text/title for each page. We’ll implement it for you with ease.

How can I get iGrassroots?

Visit our services page to determine which package best suits your needs and purchase the package of your choice. The automated process will securely collect your credit or debit card information and one of our team will contact you to walk you through your new website and begin implementing any custom features you wish to see.

Is there any technical knowledge required?

No, no technical knowledge is required to benefit from iGrassroots features and services. Only basic knowledge of blogging is required so you can post your own updates live on the website.

Although it is helpful to understand how to use a blog, if you have no experience our tech team will walk you through the process to show you how to post updates, pictures, and more.

If you are still confused, our team can implement any changes you wish to see fit right then and there, at no extra charge.

Are there any start-up fees?

iGrassroots is flexible web platform that allows you to pay monthly or for one or more year’s worth of service up front. When you purchase more than one year’s worth of service there are no start-up fees. For monthly or yearly options there is a one-time only start-up fee (Basic: $149 | Leader: $299 | Visionary: $549 | Icon: $799)

Can I use my current logo and picture on the website?

Yes, all packages come with the ability to easily implement your current logo and image on the site. If your image is not web friendly, or you are looking for a professionally designed logo, our supreme packages include custom logos and graphics we design just for you.

Supreme packages also come with the ability to add custom graphics to a “Featured Graphics Rotator” to direct visitors to the most important pages on your site.

I don’t have a website address, can I still use iGrassroots?

Yes, we will purchase and host an available domain name on our servers at no extra cost to you. If you do not have a web address when you purchase a package, one of our team members will contact you to discuss finding the perfect web address.

I already have a web address, how can I get iGrassroots?

When you purchase your package, a team member will contact you to find the existing hosting server and we will transfer the domain name to our servers to implement your iGrassroots platform. It’s simple and easy, plus it’s free.

Is iGrassroots media friendly?

iGrassroots is extremely media friendly. Social networks like twitter, facebook, Youtube, and Flikr can be linked to each blog post or page, and you can easily upload and share videos right from any page.

How does the email marketing work?

With the Basic package, visitors and supporters to your site will have the ability to enter in their information into a secure form which will download into your very own database. From there, you may contact those supporters however you wish.

With the Supreme packages, we integrate a custom sign-up form for updates and people who donate into a database that works with an email marketing service. Inside that service, we create custom email templates to match your website where you can send up to 10,000 emails a month to announce important updates, key events, or kindly ask supporters to invest in your cause with a donation. Information is NEVER shared with any third-parties. If they sign-up on your website, the list is yours and yours alone.

What does iGrassroots charge for each donation?

Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada!

We proudly let you keep the fruit of your own labor and we take absolutely nothing off the top of your donations. However, credit card processing is not free for anybody. Accordingly, we consult with you to determine if paypal or another merchant service can meet your needs and deposit funds directly into your bank account. Sometimes, paypal is the best option, other times, your bank may offer better rates. We’ll work with you to get the best rate possible. Most of the time the cost is between 2-3% per transaction.

The bottom line is we never make a single cent on any transaction, ever.

Is collecting donations online legal?

Absolutely. If you are a registered campaign, we collect all the necessary FEC filing information from each donor so you can report them in your filings.

If you’re a non-profit or corporation we collect all information into your own database so you can show the money on the books.

I saw an option of recurring donations, what are those?

Recurring donations provide tremendous value to any cause. When making a donation, donors are prompted to make a donation one-time, monthly, quarterly, or annually.

If they choose a recurring option, their credit/debit card is automatically billed at the recurring date and the funds are automatically placed in your bank account.

Can I sell my merchandise or products online?

Yes, the Icon package gives you support to sell any merchandise you wish right from your website. Customers can add products to their shopping cart and when they check-out, funds will automatically be deposited to your bank account and the order will be emailed to you so you can ship it.

How does the Leader package differ from Basic?

Most notably, the Leader package allows you to choose from one of 7 custom color schemes in your template to best match your brand in addition to coming with a custom designed site logo and featured content areas.

As well, Leader packages allow for collecting donations securely online and search engine optimization so you show up where you should in Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. search engines.

Finally, Leader packages come with support for Google apps so you and your team can have your email accounts @yourdomain.com operate with Gmail, Google Calender, and their famous Google Docs platform. Custom productivity apps are included to boost your teams effectiveness.

How does the Visionary package differ from Basic & Leader?
